Listless again
One of those days when you feel disinclined to do just about anything. Give me white sands and surf. Audioslave is the only thing keeping me from dying of lethargy. And Pearl Jam's new single sucks - so stale!

A memory
You sit in your little place, do your routine work, think daily thoughts... and then something brushes softly against your cheek, and takes you back to another place, another time, another life, another you.

I loved Brokeback
Brokeback Mountain made me incredibly sad. It is a beautiful and touching story of two people in love - only in this case both of them are men. Jack is the impulsive, passionate man in love, while Ennis is the guy who grew up through hard times and is scared to throw away the little he has. In a way, it is Ennis who keeps pulling back, never giving in completely to what he feels for Jack. The men are tolerant, even light hearted, about the women in their lives, but not with other men - Ennis breaks down when he finds out that Jack has been with other men.
Heath Ledger is great as Ennis del Mar, the guy who is so afraid of letting himself go. Early on in their relationship, when Ennis tells Jack about his upbringing, Jack remarks that its the most he's heard him speak in the past 2 months. To which Ennis replies 'Its the most I've spoken in a year'. Haven't seen Capote, but Ledger deserved that Oscar.

Another attempt
After the sad demise of my goldfish,my dad advised me to go in for a hardier species. So, I brought home 2 pairs of Bengal Danios, lively and pretty fish. They can't seem to stay still for an instant. I hope these stay alive.

Oscar well deserved
Finally managed to catch Crash last night, and I must say I loved it. Its been a while since I saw a movie this good. Great cast, neat performances, tight narrative, great humour. A little bit sweet at times, but then, this movie is trying to remind us that, at the end of the day, even the racist prick is human, and that the seemingly sweet guy could do something brash and stupid.
Was good to see Brendan Fraser back- had almost forgotten just how sharp the guy can look. Verdict: Don't miss it.

One little life that winked out
Despite my best efforts to keep him alive, I found Eddie floating lifeless in his tank when I reached home last night. And Chester is not looking too good either. I keep telling myself that they're just fish, but can't help feeling terrible.

Please let this one be good...
Pearl Jam is set to release a new album in May. The first single will be out in a few days. I hope that Eddie and the gang come up with an album that kicks ass. Fingers crossed!
