The Dragonfly
The dragonfly that flew into my room yesterday evening and finally settled on me before I walked it out of the door raised a pertinent question. Why are men so scared of insects? My friend who was visiting was visibly stressed out when the poor insect flew in through the window and started buzzing around. I asked him if he would have screamed like a girl if it had settled on his shirt, and he answered, ' Yes, of course'. Why is it that men are scared of insects but not of geckos and mice? And why do women scream at the sight of lizards and cute little mice, but not cringe at picking up a creep, crawly insect and throwing it out?
